One of the most common chronic complications is Diabetic Foot Ulcers (DFU), which will end in amputation if not handled properly. This study aims to determine nurses' knowledge about Diabetes Injury Prevention and Treatment.
This research is quantitative research using descriptive research methods. The sample in this study were some nurses at TK II Pelamonia Makassar Hospital. The sampling technique in this study used stratified random sampling with a sample size of 175 people.
Of the 100 nurses who were educated D-III, the highest wrong answer was found in the domain of questioning the use of footwear as many as 64 people (64.0%), at the S1 and Ners Education level the lowest aspect was risk detection, in S2 students the dominant error in aspects foot deformity and the use of footwear, each of 3 people (60%). Evaluation of nurses' knowledge about the care of DFU on nurses who did not have a wound care certificate, found that the most incorrect answers were in the Time Management question domain as many as 118 people (72.4%).
This study indicates that nurses' knowledge is still limited regarding evidence-based practice in the prevention of DFU in the domain of footwear use, risk detection, and signs of foot deformity. The nurses' knowledge about the treatment process is still low on TIME Management aspects and management of biofilms.
